Baby showers have their own special kind of magic. There’s something about the tiny socks, the sweet gifts, and the excited anticipation that creates a joy-filled atmosphere before the little one even arrives.

It reminds me of a baby shower I had the honour of hosting for a dear friend. She already knew she was having a boy, so I leaned fully into the blue theme — blue balloons, blue streamers, and even… blue food!

We played several games that the dads loved just as much as the moms. And for prizes, I baked my signature monster cookies, wrapped them in pretty blue bags, and handed them out to the winners. (Let’s just say the dads were highly motivated to win those!)

I kept the party to about two hours — long enough to celebrate, short enough that no one got bored and mama didn’t get exhausted. We alternated between games and gift opening to keep the flow lively and fun.

To finish the afternoon, I served:

Making everything miniature — and blue — was so much fun.

Everyone had the loveliest time. I handled the cleanup afterward so mama could head home, rest, and soak in the excitement. She felt so honoured and cared for, which made the whole celebration feel even sweeter.
