5 Ways to Take the Pressure Off Your Next Gathering
Hey Hosting Queen,
Are you the kind of host who loves a good party—but doesn’t love stressing about all the little details?
Or maybe you’re a Pinterest-Perfect Queen, but you get so caught up in making it flawless that you barely enjoy your own party?
Let’s make hosting joyful again.
Here are 5 of my tried-and-true ways to take the pressure off your next gathering:
1. Plan Ahead (and do as much in advance as possible)
• Finalize your menu early
• Prep food the day before
• Do your shopping a few days ahead
• Set your table the morning of
• Lay out serving dishes, utensils, and drinks in advance
• Make a checklist (it’s magic)
2. Ask for Help or Delegate
Hosting doesn’t have to mean doing it all.
Ask someone to handle drinks, greet guests, or play DJ.
Delegate what drains you (for me, that’s cleanup!).
Trust me—you’re not losing control by asking. You’re gaining peace.
3. Be Ready 30 Minutes Before Guests Arrive
• Most food can sit at room temp for 30 mins
• Greet your guests calmly
• Use sticky notes to mark where food goes
• Let others help fill in the blanks
4. Get Yourself Ready
• Do your hair and makeup in the morning or 1–2 hours before
• Eat something nourishing before the party (yes, really)
• Drink water
• Breathe deeply
5. Let Go & Enjoy
You’re the only one who knows how it was “supposed to be.”
Let it go. Be present. Laugh, mingle, and soak it all in.
The real magic is you—just showing up.
