Why November Parties Are My Favorite to Host
Hey Hosting Queen,
“We should do this more often,” they said as they were leaving. “What a wonderful evening.”
And they were right — it was a lovely time.
Lingering. Slow. Cozy.
That’s what I love most about November gatherings. The world outside feels cold and dark, but inside, everything slows down. Candles flicker, fairy lights sparkle, and conversations linger. It’s that rare pause before the holiday hustle begins.
Whether it’s a baby shower, engagement celebration, or a cozy dinner “just because,” November gatherings carry a special kind of magic. There’s still a hint of fall with the leaves and acorns, yet the sparkle of Christmas is starting to peek through. And really? Even a mermaid-themed taco 30th birthday party somehow works in November.
But what makes these gatherings truly special is the people. Guests crave connection. They want to pause, to catch up, to laugh over games or linger at the table long after dessert is gone.
It’s the pause. The space to slow down and savor.
November may feel like an in-between month, but I believe it’s an invitation — to gather, to connect, to say “we should do this more often.”
And maybe… to actually do it.
Christmas is just a month away. If you’re hosting this holiday season, I’ve created something for you: A Hosting Queen’s Guide to a Stress-Free Holiday Dinner. Download it HERE — it’s free, and it will help you feel calm, confident, and ready to shine.
